With a second bout, within a month, of a weeklong of overcast skies in NYC, it is hard to not reminisce the brisk pre-fall days of SFO bay area. Amrita had a wonderful afternoon in her latest H&M acquisitions during her recent visit to Santa Clara, CA. Arpita helped style her for an early evening outing.
This unique printed shift dress is light and airy with scalloped hem on side seams. The jury is still out on whether the print is that of tigers or panthers! She paired it with a mustard colored acrylic scarf. It is a medium weight fabric and will come handy in case of a sudden chilly breeze. Scarfs can be worn in so many ways and is such a fun accessory. Amrita tried this twisting method and it stayed put for a long time and wasn’t difficult to open up for better coverage.
Amrita picked this newly arrived handbag in H&M stores, in mustard color to match the scarf. The handbag is a good sized one with thick, grained imitation leather and metal details.
Amrita had these really beautiful earrings from India that matched the accessories. Arpita suggested styling the shift dress with contrast colored accessories to make the ensemble interesting. The ruby red suede tie up ballet-flats helps to keep the dress’s print prominent and not fizzle out amidst the bright mustard colored accessories. Hair was styled in a rush and kept simple with a high bun, using a hair donut from amazon. Make up is minimum with touch of color around the eyes and blush color lip color
