For Valentine’s Day special, Arpi has chosen to be inspired by an icon of style and romance. Yup, you may have very well guessed it right, Audrey Hepburn.
Audrey Hepburn did not set out to become a style icon, but what she did was, take the trends on her stride and made it her own. She found what she liked and made her comfortable. From the boat neckline to accentuate her broad shoulders and shift the focus from her skinny collarbones to owning the little black dress.
A survivor of holocaust, Audrey Hepburn was slight of frame for all her life. This particular silhouette that underlines the 1950’s dress, cinches at the waist and expands the vision to give a more sumptuous look. And surprisingly, this sillohouette compliments all body shapes. Arpi’s dress fall right below the knees giving it a slightly modern take
Arpi donned her white pearls and Mary Jane heels to compliment the 1950’s taste in accessorizing. 1950s was also another era of voluminous updos and Arpi has meticulously styled her hair in a mock beehive style. The eye-liner and red lips also screams 1950s, as much as it is befitting to today’s occasion.
